My name is Hans Andersen. And this agency was born from a memory.
When I was young, I packed my bags and went out into the world. I worked, I learned, I grew. Not just as a professional — but as a human being. That journey shaped who I am today. And it was made possible, in part, by a small agency that helped me take the first step.
That stayed with me.
Since 2011, I have been connecting young people with Danish farmers — giving them the same opportunity I once had. To live abroad. To work with their hands. To discover what they are capable of when they are far from home. To return with new knowledge, new confidence, and a wider view of the world.
For the first years, I worked closely with students from Ukraine — young people with ambition, resilience, and a hunger to learn. I have seen what that experience gave them. Not just skills, but a different way of seeing the world.
In 2022, I opened the doors wider. Today, students from countries across the globe come through Andersen Agency to work and learn on Danish farms. Every culture brings something new — and every young person takes something lasting home with them.
And now we are growing again.
In 2025, Andersen Agency took its next step — expanding into Germany. Farmers in Schleswig-Holstein are welcoming our students, and young people with Danish farm experience are finding new opportunities just across the border. It is the same mission, in a new place. And it will not stop there.
I have seen this work change lives. Quietly, but deeply.
Denmark was built on knowledge, hard work, and openness to the world. I believe that spirit can travel. Every young person who works on a farm here carries something home with them. Something that stays.
